Show I CSU Adds Two Classes to Summer Schedule Two important classes are being be-ing added to the evening school program at College of Southern Utah. One class Is H commercial art and the other Is "food preparation prepar-ation and service." Those interested inter-ested should attend the first class as scheduled and reglsteration will be the first nlht. The classes are listed as follows: fol-lows: "Commercial Art Practices", taught by Thomas Leek, in the Arts and Crafts BuilcJ'ng, Tuesday Tues-day and Thursday, 6:30 to 9:30 p. m. The class will include an intro-duction intro-duction to commercial art practice prac-tice including fundamental lettering, let-tering, layout, illustration, poster making and package design, and will run fo eight weeks. The class specifically designed design-ed to provide a basis in which individuals in-dividuals may prepare themselves them-selves for employment in the j following areas of commercial art: Show card writing, sign ! painting, layout work, illustra- ' tions, advertising design and dis- ; play work. The cost for the class will be $1.00 per credit hour plus $10 ' registration fee. "Food Preparation and Service" taught by Profs. Ada Carpenter and Sherrill Davis, at the Student Center, Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:30 to 8:30 p. m. The class will include a brief course on menu making and nutrition. nu-trition. A survey of the public I hospitality field, lectures on the ' history, organization, problems jand opportunities in the public hospitality industry. Brief survey sur-vey of food service sanitation, table setting, teas, special meals and duties of a hostess. The fee will be $10 per person. |
