Amasa Stones arrived home Saturday after three weeks in Salt Lake City where Mr. Stonea was nonfilled to Holy Cro Hospital following a heart !iu.kv A" .mbulance was requii.i ib bring Mr. Stones home, but he stood the trip well and is convalescing at his home. Mrs. Myrtle Abbott has been in Parowan for the last week with het.son-ln-law and daughter, daught-er, Mr." and Mrs. Howard Rasmussen Ras-mussen and their family. Mrs. Abbott is in poor health follow ing a heart attack. Mr. and Mrs. Renford Talbot and Mrs. Annie Talbot traveled to Salt Lake City Tuesday of last week for the funeral services for their brother-in-law, Ernal Lyon. The funeral was held Wednesday Wednes-day forenoon and the body was brought to Beaver for burial. Orson Or-son Talbot, son Ardell and Walter Walt-er Talbot traveled to Beaver to join the family for the graveside services. Mrs. Irene Robinson submitted to minor surgery on her leg Saturday Sa-turday and had more blood clots removed. She was able to return home following the operation and is convalescing in a satis-facotry satis-facotry manner. Her husband, Chester Robinson, Robin-son, observed the anniversary ol his birthday that day and family fam-ily members gathered at the home for the occasion. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Edwards and family of Cedar City and Mr. and Mrs, Ronald Robinson and children ol Parowan were here for the occasion oc-casion and Chester's parents, Mr and Mrs. Ellis Robinson Joined the group. Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Dale Ro binson and their four childrer of Addison, 111., arrived here tc visit for two weeks with tin Chester Robison and with De lores' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ear Thornton. Mrs. Virignla Ramirez of Mon tebello, Calif., is visiting here fo: a week with Mr. and Mrs. Wilsoi Lund. I Mr. and Mrs. Norman Harri and small son, Kelly of Salt Lak City arrived In town Saturday to I visit overnight at the T. A. Ro-, Ro-, binson home. Mrs. Robinson came home with them following a week in northern Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Man-zione Man-zione and their four children of Tooele arrived here Friday to spend the week end with Jan-lne's Jan-lne's people, Mr. and Mrs. H. Revere Robinson. Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Man-zione Man-zione and Mrs. Robinson accompanied accom-panied the Dee White family of Summit to St. George to spend the day. v Mrs. Melva Barton and son J. Lowe and Mrs. Zelma Robb and son Gaylord traveled to St. Gorge Saturday to attend the .Seminary Youth Conference. DUP meeting for this month will be held Friday, April 16, at the home of Mrs. Lula R. Bastian. Meeting is scheduled to commence com-mence at 2:00 p. m. The John Lister family spent considerable time in Beaver last I week on account of the death of Annabelle's father, Aronld Parkinson. Park-inson. Their son John P. and his wife and baby of Washington were here on the week end and again for the funeral Wednesday. Mrs. Melva Barton, son J. Lowe and Horace Edwards traveled to Delta recently to visit with Mrs. Maggie Edwards, who is in poor health. Mrs. Miriam Anderson return-' return-' ed home Friday after spending 1 the week in Salt Lake City where she was a guest of Mr. and Mrs. ; Antone Robinson and Mrs. Mabel Robinson. Mrs. Anderson spent some time with her sister, Mrs. Anna Allen, 1 who Joined her from Provo and the two visited with the Phillip Allen family in Bountiful and ' with other relatives, including Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hemingway. ' Mrs. Sharlett Bundy and her j small son Norman of Beaver have been visiting here for a wek with the Jim Bettridge famil; . r Mr. and Mrs. Lamont Bettridge , and children of Beaver were here , one day last week. Mr. and Mrs. La Von Thompson of St. George visited here one s day last week with Hazel's sis-e sis-e ter, Mrs. Dolne Bettridge. t Mr. and Mrs. Orland Davis of I Cedar City were Snday visitors at the Jim Bettriuji home. Mr. and Mrs. Orson Talbot were happy to greet their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mis. Arnold Mellor and their three children of Lincoln, Nebraska, Ne-braska, who arrive here Monday. Mr. and Mellor has completed his service with the Air Force, and will soon be accepting employment em-ployment in the Provo. area. Miss Mina Lamoreaux was home from Salt Lake, City to spend the week end with her people, Mr. and Mrs. Jew Lamoreaux. Lamor-eaux. ' Robin Lamoreaux was here from Provo for the week end. He came to get his wife and small daughter, who have been visiting visit-ing with the Roy Stubbs family in Parowan. Mrs. Gaytha Benson and her daughters Ka'hryn and Julie of Beaver and Mrs. Joan Mortensen and sons Russell and Gordon of Parowan joined the Lamoreaux family Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Rex Maxwell and Mr. and Mrs. Lamar Smith of Cedar Ce-dar City were Sunday visitors at the Wilson Lund home. Mr. and Mrs. Heber Lund and children of Cedar City visited at the Lund home Saturday and Monday, and Anna Dee and the children remained here for an Overnight stay. Mr. and Mrs. Frank i William- ! son traveled to Summit Monday j to attend the funeral service for their friend, Mrs. Hannah M. Grimshaw. Mr. and r'rs. Joseph E. Barton and family are away on a trip. They traveled to Mantl last week to spend a day in the Temple with Helen's nephew, Alan Dailey and his wife and then went on to Salt Lake City for business and 1 pleasure. 1 Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Robinson j and Mrs. Erma Lamoreaux traveled trav-eled to Beaver Tuesday of last j week to pay their respects to the family of Arnold Parkinson, who had passed away. |
