(Dick) Leigh of Cedar City and Robert Watkins Cook, son of J. Howard Cook, Sr., Salt Lake City, exchanged ex-changed marriage vows In Salt Lake Temple rites Friday, Oct. 7. The young couple were feted at a reception Friday night at the Memorial House In Salt Lake City, with the groom's father as host. They were honored at a second sec-ond reception given by the bride's parents Saturday night at the home of Mrs. Beth Leigh in Cedar City. Attending the bride were Miss Elaine Cook, sister of the groom; Miss Barbara Bedford, and Miss Marilyn Arns. At the reception in Salt Lake City she was also attended by her sister, Mrs. Don VV. Esplin. John H. Cook, Jr., per-formed per-formed best man duties for his brother at both receptions. At the reception in Cedar City, Mrs. Ras's Jones and Mrs. Bert Langford presided at the serving serv-ing table with Sandra and Elaine Langford, and Ann and Cathy Leigh serving. Marion Arns and Mrs. Larry Jones were in charge of the gift room. Mrs. Beth Leigh was general hostess and Mrs. P. M. Bethers was dining room hostess. host-ess. Miss Fern Johnson was in charge of the kitchen. The bride, a graduate of the University of Utah, 13 a teacher in the William Penn Elementary School in the Granite District of SaJt Lake City. She Is also a graduate grad-uate of the Cedar City High School and C S U. The groom, a student at the University of Utah, recently returned re-turned from a two-year mission for the L D S Church in the Great Lakes Mission field. Mr. and Mrs. Cook are now honeymooning In Arizona and will return to Salt Lake City, where Mr. Cook will continue his studies' and Mrs. Cook will continue con-tinue teaching.' |
