Show Escalante Valley Farmers Open Pheasant Hunt Area The farmers of Escalante Valley Val-ley or Beryl section of Iron County Coun-ty have established a pheasant hunting area, according to Lamar Lund, Escalante Valley wildlife federation representative. Mr. Lund states that the entire Escalante Valley or Beryl farming farm-ing area will be open for hunting , with the exception of a few farm-,ers farm-,ers who will post their private I ground. The farmers of the area ! have agreed to collect a fee of $1.00 per hunter for the area. Funds received from the permit sale will be used for the development develop-ment of a park to be located near Beryl Junction. The special permits per-mits may be obtained from Otto Fife at the Cross Roads store. The pheasant hunt will open at 8 a. m. Saturday, Nov. 7, and continue through Sunday and 'Monday, Nov. 8 and 9. Shooting will begin at 7 a. m. both Sunday Sun-day and Monday and must cease at 5:30 p. m. on each of the three days. Reports from Mr. Lund indicate that a large pheasant kill is expected ex-pected in the valley this year, land the Escalante Valley Wildlife Wild-life Federation officers and members mem-bers are hopeful of a successful hunt for all who do their hunting hunt-ing in that area. |
