Show En Avantes Honor Cedar Women at Summer Supper Party The En Avante Club held a summer supper party at the Airport Air-port Cafe Wednesday evening. This party is an annual affair at which the members choose two women living in the community whom they consider have donated donat-ed the most of their time and talent to the various clubs and civic groups during the year, and honor them at this outstanding event. The two ladies the En Avantes have chosen as their "honorees" this year are Mrs. Ann Leavitt, talented reader and dramatist, and Mrs. Bessie Dover, popular accordionist. Card tables were beautifully decorated for the members and their guests with philodendron and candlelight, and favors were ceramic planters containing philodendron. phil-odendron. Mrs. Leavitt and Mrs. Dover presented the program for the evening consisting of several entertaining en-tertaining readings and several accordion solos. Toasts were then presented to the honored guests by Mrs. Shirley Shir-ley Marchant and Mrs. Zola Dover. Do-ver. The committee in charge of this gala event consisted of Mrs. Lillian Chatterley, Mrs. Mida Osborne, Os-borne, Mrs. Florence Corry, Mrs. Virgo Anderson and Mrs. Lillis Larson. |
