Show I j Celebrate 59th Wedding Anniversary i .MSmw' v n x iPililM Ac V ""V jl Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Graff S Arnold Graffs Honored by Family Members At Special 59th Wedding Anniversary Party Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Graff were honored at an anniversary anni-versary party Sunday afternoon in the First Ward Relief Society rooms, in celebration of their 59th wedding anniversary. anni-versary. Many family members were present for the occasion occa-sion including three children, Mrs. Myrtle Heyvvood, Mrs. Leatha Prestwich and Dr. A. L. Graff, all of Cedar City; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Also honored at the affair were Dr. and Mrs. Rymal G. Williams of Cedar City, who were celebrating their 13th' wedding anniversary on the same date. Dr. Williams is a crandson of Air. and Mrs. Graff. A beautiful wedding cake in the center of the refreshment table bore the names of both honored couples. A program of song and dance by members of the family was presented with Mrs. Merna Han-sink, Han-sink, a granddaughter, acting as master of ceremonies. The program pro-gram included a musical duet, guitar, Gaylord Graff, and harmonica, har-monica, Myrtle Heywood; vocal solos, Roger Williams, a great'-grandson; great'-grandson; Hawaiian dance and song, Marilyn and Jerrilyn Graff, twin granddaughters; piano solo, Cynthia Williams, great-grand-(Continued en Back Page) Wedding Anniversary (Continued from Page One) daughter; piano solo, Shirley Graff, granddaughter; harmonica harmoni-ca solo. "After the Ball," Mr. and Mrs. Graff's favorite waltz tune, Myrtle Heywood, daughter; piano solo, Leatha Prestwich, daughter, daugh-ter, climaxed by group singing of favorite old songs of the honored hon-ored couple, accompanied by Mrs. Leatha Prestwich. Mr. Graff is 86 years of age and the only living member of his family. Mrs. Graff is 81 years of age. She has two living sisters sis-ters and a brother, all of whom were present. Mr. and Mrs. Graff were married mar-ried on Aug. 2. IS')."), and settled in Kanarraviile, whore they resided re-sided until only a few years ago. They now make their home in Cedar City. Throughout their residence res-idence in Kanarraviile they were influential in community life. Mr. Graff engaged in farming and livestock raising, and was the first farmer of southern Utah to introduce dry farming practices. prac-tices. In spite of their age they are both alert, active and interested inter-ested in community and family I affairs. |
