Show Shut-in Day Set For June 6, States Group Official Mrs. Leland Wood, president of the Cedar City Shut-ins Day Association, As-sociation, announced this week that plans are going ahead in preparation for the observance of National and International Shut-ins Shut-ins Day, Sunday, June 6. A non-sectarian, non-political, non-racial and non-profit organization, organi-zation, the Shut-ins Association depends upon the public for support, sup-port, and it is encouraging all civic organizations and private clubs of Cedar City to cooperate this year, Mrs. Wood stated. The local shut-ins association suggests that everyone visit a shut-in on this day. Better still, Mrs. Wood emphasized, take them to church with you. They all appreciate any kindness or remembrance they are shown. They are people of all ages, some have been shut-in always, others oth-ers through accident or war, and others simply by advancing age, Mrs. Wood stated. Make it a point to visit a shut-in Sunday, Mrs. Wood, encouraged residents. Anyone who knows a shut-In or some one ill is invited to call Mrs. Wood at 85G-W or Mrs. Forrest For-rest Bryant at 04-J2, so that a list can be compiled for visits Sunday. |
