Show I Dale Tingey Receives Transfer To Provo Seminary i 4 " v ' 1 1 I! . 1 iiniM.riiii.f.wv.. manna . .. .j DALE TINGEY I JJale Tingey popular instructor at the Cedar City L D S Seminary Semin-ary and an ardent promoter of the explorer scout program in this city has been transferred to Provo, Rodney Turner, principal announced during the week. Tingey will work part-time at the Provo L D S Seminary and plans to continue school at the Brigham Young University, applying ap-plying his efforts toward a master's degree in the field of religion. Serving as a teacher in the local lo-cal seminary for two and one half years Tingey moved to Cedar Ce-dar City in January 1952. Outside Out-side of his outstanding Seminary work he has been active in local lo-cal undertakings and particularly particular-ly with the First Ward Explorer Explor-er Scouts where he has assisted in moving 11 youths to the honorary hon-orary title of Silver Explorers. During the past winter Tingey and Turner have conducted a series of theology lectures that have been well received by the populace of Cedar City and Par-owan Par-owan stakes. He has also appeared ap-peared before a number of civic groups in the short span of activity ac-tivity in this area. A replacement for Tingey has not yet been auuounced, Turner stated. Tingey left Cedar City Sunday to make his permanent home in Provo during the summer months in preparation for his work and i study next fall. |
