Escalante Valley Women Hold May Meeting The May meeting of the Es-calante Es-calante Valley Women's Club was held at the home of Mrs. iuck Moyie. Special guests for the evening were Miss Fern Johnson, former home demonstration agent for Iron County; Miss Emma Niel-son, Niel-son, the newly appointed demonstration dem-onstration agent to succeed Miss i Johnson, and Miss Foster, secre- j tary from the county extension I office. j Miss Johnson introduced Miss Nielsen to the residents of the valley and the latter expressed her appreciation for the opportunity oppor-tunity to meet them under favorable fav-orable circumstances. She had previously visited the valley in a typical wind storm. Mrs. Edna Williams of the St. George "Blossom Shop" was a special guest, invited to give a demonstration on the making of fibre flowers. This was of special spe-cial interest to the ladies present. pres-ent. Following the flower making a "quizz for quick minds" was given gi-ven on the names of flowers. Prizes wcie won by Mrs. Cordia Quinn, Mrs. Augusta Hunt and Mrs. Doris Pederson. Hostesses for the evening were Mrs. Francis Piper and Mrs. 'Georgia Moyle.
