A flash flood in Coal Crook created considerable con-siderable excitement Sunday as hundreds of people gathered along the creek banks to see the unusual sight. The flood, starting in the Cedar Breaks area, came so suddenly that tons of logs and drift wood were forced down the creek ahead of the water. It created a thrilling sight as it swirled down narrow channels and around bends in the creek bed. Pictured here is the crest of the flood as it passed the Right Hand Canyon bridge. People gathered along the stream to await the arrival of the flood as it approached the valley. |
