Show Large Crowds Enjoy Outstanding Day of Entertainment An outstanding day of entertainment enter-tainment was presented for the enjoyment of the residents of Parowan and the surrounding area on Monday, July 5, with the race meet and amateur rodeo ro-deo proving to be the main attraction at-traction of the day. Good crowds were in attendance at all of the events, with the afternoon program pro-gram at the race track drawing one of the largest crowds ever to witness such an event in the community. The race meet and rodeo, presented pre-sented by the Red Hill Wranglers, furnished a full racing program with rodeo events spaced between be-tween the races to take up the entire afternoon. This is the final race meet of the year under the sponsorship of the Wranglers, but I we understand that the horsemen's horse-men's group will have charge of a similar program during the Iron County Fair in September with the fair committee as spon- J sor. A full program of racing was presented by the Wranglers on Saturday afternoon, and although al-though the attendance was not so good, the races were some of the best ever run off here. A very creditable parade of the miniature variety was held at 9 a. m. and was followed by a public meeting with a fine program pro-gram being presented. A program of sports followed the meeting for the entertainment of the young people. Then came the race meet and the day carno to a close with a dance in the Brown Derby, to complete a very worthwhile celebration. |
