Show Double Ring Wedding Unites Dorothy Messer-Garth Penney Miss Dorothy Jane Messor, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Messer of Cedar City, became the bride of Garth Penney in a lovely love-ly wedding held late Sunday afternoon af-ternoon in Cedar City. The double ring ceremony was performed by Bishop James Hey-wood Hey-wood of the Fifth ward. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Almon Penney of Kanosh. Maid of honor was Miss Alice Messer, a sister of the bride, while the best man was Denton Rorenson. The bride wore a white satin gown with veil, and carried a bridal bouquet of white gladioli. Following the wedding, the newlyweds left on a honeymoon tiip thhrough the southern Utah Parks. They were honored Tuesday Tues-day evening with a reception at the home of the bride. The bridal couple have both attended the Branch Agricultural college in Cedar City. The groom was very active in athletics at school and has been one of the outstanding pitchers in the Cedar Ce-dar City Softball legaue for the past three years. The couple will make their home In Cedar City where the groom is employed. |
