Show City Calls for Bids To Construct New Power Building A call for bids for the con -1 Miuction of a building to house . the generating equipment for Tarowan City's new power plant ' is being advertised this week it is announced by the city office with the call appearing in the Fa row an Times. j The call for bids covers the construction of a home for the plant operator in addition to the building to house the machinery. The bids will be opened at 3:00 p. m. Thursday, September 11. Contracts will be let as soon after af-ter that date as possible with the successful bidder to have 45 days to complete the plant building, but a longer time for the residence resid-ence unit. This contract will not call for the installation of the machinery machin-ery or the power and control apparatus. ap-paratus. The water wheel will be installed by the Pelton Water-wheel Water-wheel Co. and the generator by the General Electric Co. who were the successful bidders on these ittms about a year ago. These companies will install the equipment equip-ment as the plant building construction con-struction progresses. Some of the items have arrived, we are told, and are ready for installation. It is apparent from the call for bids that the plant cannot be in operation before November, and it probably will be later than that before it is put into use. |
