Show Chamber Asks KSUB to Increase Power The Cedar City Chamber of Commerce recently issued a letter let-ter to Radio Station KSUB, urging urg-ing that station to do everything every-thing in its power to persuade t h e Federal Communications Commission of the urgency of increasing the power of the local lo-cal station. For some time now, the station has been trying to secure permission to Increase its power, but for some unknown reason the federal government has refused it the right. The chamber stated that KSUB could not be hoard clearly any further north than Parowan, while the nearby Richfield station sta-tion can be heard as far north as Salt Lake City. Since the Richfield Rich-field station can be heard on automobile au-tomobile radios, the chamber of commerce contends that much southbound tourist traffic is traveling tra-veling on highway 89 in preference prefer-ence to highway 91, which would bring the tourist to Cedar City. In conclusion, the Chamber I said, "We want to get to the bottom of the reason for the delay de-lay (to Increase the station's power) and then take prompt action to do something about it." |
