Show Committees Push Plans for 1948 Stockshow According to T. Donald Bell, publicity director, plans for the eighth annual Southern Utah Livestock Show are rapidly being completed, with emphasis on the breeding sheep sale and the premium booklet. H. II. Lunt, chairman of the breeding sheep sale committee, Eldro Rigby, Carl Cox, D. L. Sargent, Sar-gent, committee members, and Rulon Wood, newly elected committee com-mittee secretary, are attempting to secure entries for the sale which will be held the second day of the show. The sale will be expanded to accommodate all southern Utah sheepmen, Dr. Bell said. Advance entries point to a scarcity of white-face breeding breed-ing lambs, but the committee is working overtime in an effort to expand the entry list of white-face white-face as well as black-face lambs. The committee feels that this years breeding sheep sale will be Just a beginning, and they are anxious to secure quality rams so that, in future years, buyers will have faith in the southern Utah Livestock Show sale. In addition to breeding rams, there will be an offering of breeding ewes and ewe lambs The premium booklet advertising advertis-ing committee, headed by Clar-ence Clar-ence Schmutz, is contacting local merchants to secure advertising for this year's booklet at the present time. |
