Show Final Rites Set For Cedar World War Hero i . V ",v.. V: . v x : t V V Final graveside rites honoring Leo Esplin, 19, Cedar City war hero will be held at 2 p. m. Friday, Fri-day, August 6, at the city cemetery ceme-tery under the direction of the local American Legion Post, James Hall commanding, and the Jensen Mortuary. Private Esplin was killed on Luzon in August of 1945, after serving only a little over nine months with the U. S. army. He was educated in Cedar City, Joining the armed forces following follow-ing his graduation from the Cecity Ce-city high school. Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry C Esplin, Cedar City; five brothers, Rulon, Merrill, Mer-rill, Reed and Van, all of Cedar City, and Henry, Jr., Nyssa, Oregon; Ore-gon; five sisters, Mrs. Howard Thompson, Warsaw, Indiana; Mrs. Milton Jones, Cedar City; Margaret and Maxine Esplin and Mrs. Lloyd Allenby, all of Salt Lake City. |
