Show Colorado Senator Attacks Utah Airport Spending Cedar City is among five Utah cities being subsidized by the Federal government for air service, ser-vice, according to Sen. Edwin Johnson (D., Colo.), chairman of th interstate and foreign com-merce com-merce committee. Cedar City will receive $17,000 annually of the $281,000 to be split among the five cities. Sen. Johnson said that the Federal money is being given carriers to service the communities communi-ties which do not generate sufficient suf-ficient traffic to make the service ser-vice compensatory. Sen. Johnson's committee reported re-ported that, for the most part, small cities, not the airlines, are being subsidized. |
