Show 1950 Season Opening Finds Streams In Good Condition With the fishing season just around the corner, most sportsmen sports-men are looking hopefully toward to-ward a good season, and from all reports, fishing should be good in most parts of southern Utah. Surveys made by Wildlife groups and fish and game men show the streams and lakes to be In good condition, with most streams being clear and not running run-ning too fast. In this area, Navajo Lake Is found to be lower this year than usual. and not too cold. Duck Creek Spring, Duck Creek and Mirror Aspen Lake are of average aver-age depth and clear. Both the Mammoth Creek and Panguitch Lake are fairly high, but the Mammoth Is clear, Asay Cieek Is reported to be low and clear, as are all streams In Washington county. The Yankee and Paragonah reservoirs are both low and clear. Most sportsmen seem to agree that these conditions will make for good catches by fly and worm fishermen, even in the early part of the season. |
