Show Indians to Give Tribal Dance Demonstration Here Two men and a boy belonging belong-ing to the Laguna Indian tribe of Winslow, Arizona, will give a demonstration of a group of Indian In-dian dances in Farowan Wednesday, Wed-nesday, June 21. The parform-ar.ee parform-ar.ee will be given in the West ward recreation hall at 8:30 p. rr and everyone is invited to attend. These three people are two brothers, Anthony and Tony Purity, Pur-ity, and the former's son Lloyd. They will stop in Parowan on their way home from the L D S conference in Salt Lake City to visit with the Peter H. Gurr and Jess W. Guymon families. They are close friends of Elders Kendall Ken-dall Gurr and Llyd Guymon, who returned home recently from L D S missions among the Indian In-dian tribes of New Mexico and Arizona. The three Indians are going ir.to Salt Lake City this week to give a demonstration of three tribal dances in costume for the L D S conference visitors. This performance will be given on the lawn in front of the Barrett Hall across the street east of the Temple grounds. No admission will be charged but contributions will be accepted accept-ed to help the Indians defray the expenses of their trip. |
