Show AWOL Marine Gets Jail Sentence on Grand Larceny Here Robert Luth, 21, a U. S. Marino Mar-ino AWOL, was sentenced to from one to ten years in prison by Fifth District Court Judge Will L. Hoyt, in one of two criminal crim-inal cases tried in Parowan last week. The marine, AWOL from the El Torro base in California, pieaded guilty to grand larceny and was sentenced to serve his term in the Utah state prison. He had been charged with stealing a bridle, saddle and lariat from Robert Adams in Cedar City ear- Jy in May. Another marine who was with him, Hugh Jordan, 21, also AWOL, was returned to the authorities auth-orities at the marine base. Robert Louis Miles, 18, who gave his home as Gooding, Idaho, also appeared oefore the court and pleaded guilty to a charge of burglary in the third degree. He was sentenced to from six months to three years in prison. According to the charge against him, Miles had entered a home in Parowan on May 22, with the intent to commit larceny. |
