Show Veterinary Group Completes Utah Convention Officers for the next year were elected Friday in Cedar City during dur-ing the closing session of the annual an-nual convention of the Utah Veterinary Vet-erinary Medicine Assn. held here on June 8 and 9V Named president elect of the organization was Dr. E. A. Tu-gaw, Tu-gaw, Salt Lake City, who will succeed Dr. C. L. Jones, Salt Lake City, at the close of next year's convention. Dr. Jones succeeds Dr. H. G. Stevens, Lewiston, and was installed in-stalled Friday to head the organization organ-ization during the coming year. He has served as president-elect during the past year. Others elected to office were Dr. Paul Chrlstofferson, director of the state animal disease laboratory lab-oratory at Provo, secretary-treasurer, and Dr. Eric V. Isaacson. Ogden, elected to the executive committee for a three-year term. Discussions on keeping animals ani-mals free from disease occupied most of the time of the Utah veterinarians vet-erinarians during their first day session. Dr. R. L. He outlined aueromycin therapy and explained the Isolation of the drug from the soils and told of its evaluation for use in animals. ani-mals. Blood transfusion In veterinary medicine was explained and demonstrated by Dr. J. Mlcuda. Phoenix, Arizona. Other talks and papers were given during the convention sessions ses-sions by Hugh Hurst. A noon luncheon was held by the women's auxiliary on Thurs-day Thurs-day at El Escalante hotel, after which the group went on a conducted con-ducted tour of the Iron mines and Cedar Breaks. The convention banquet was held In the evening at the hotel. Over 60 veterinarians from Utah attended the state gathering here. |
