Show Civic Clubs Hear Of Progress on Colorado Project E. A. Jacobsen, engineer for the Reclamation Service told the Associated Civic Clubs at the meeting in Manti Saturday, June 30 that Secretary of the Interior Chapman has approved the Colorado Col-orado River Basin Project, and has submitted the report to the proper Congressional committee for action. The Echo dam probably is the first unit to be constructed under un-der this program, and the sales of power to existing distributors is expected to assist in defray ing the costs of irrigation and other features of the development, develop-ment, which cannot otherwise be justified. Mr. Jacobsen displayed a large map of the Colorado River Basin, and discussed the various dams, and the probable order in which they will be built.
