Show MIA Girl's Camp Becomes Reality The long dreamed of Girl's camp for Cedar Stake Y.W.M.I.A. is becoming a reality this summer. sum-mer. Arrangements have been completed com-pleted with Mrs. Violet Wood, who is very graciously allowing the stake to use her home in Cedar canyon, called Wood's ranch, for one month. During this time each ward will be allowed al-lowed three days. The Cedar stake Y W M I A presidency, Evelyn P. Webster, Grace Snow and Bea Roberts, under un-der the guidance of the stake presidency and high councilmen Edward Parry and B. Glen Ken-ney Ken-ney are completing all plans and providing equipment so that every girl In the stake will have the opportunity for a rich and Joyous experience. A program which Includes hiking hik-ing Into the mountains, cooking, lots of games, story telling, singing, sing-ing, learning new crafts and campfire programs has been worked out by the stake board. The camp will be conducted under ward leadership. Each ward presidency will have complete com-plete charge over their girls during dur-ing the three days they are in camp. The M. I. A. belongs to the American Campers association and this camp will conform to the high standards of that organization. or-ganization. m A number of prominent people who are specialists in their various var-ious fields, have been invited to talk on various subjects or conduct con-duct hikes. Every girl In M. I. A. should have the privilege of this rich and valuable experience. A small fee will be charged by the stake to take care of the expenses of the equplment and home. |
