Show Funeral Services Held for John Holland, 74 Funeral services were conducted conduct-ed Thursday, October 15 in the First ward chapel for John Holland, Hol-land, who died on October 10 from a heart ailment. The ser. vices were conducted by Bishop H. P. Dotson of the First ward. Mr. Holland had been in poor health for more than a year, and seriously ill for a couple of months. Speakers at the services were H. H. Lunt, Dr. Reed W. Farns-worth Farns-worth and William R. Palmer. Invocation was by C. William Macfarlane, benediction by D. C DIx, and the dedicatory prayer by Jethro Palmer. Preliminary music was provided provid-ed by Mrs. Beth Leigh, at the piano, and the musical program included a vocal solo, "I'm A Pilgrim", by Myles Walker; a r vocal solo "In The Garden", by-Ray by-Ray Cosslett; a song "Lead Me Gently Home", by a quartet composed com-posed ' of Miss Alice Williams.. Mrs. Ramola Lee, Myles Walker and Ray Cosslett, with Miss Williams Wil-liams singing the solo part Mrs-Leigh Mrs-Leigh was accompanist for each, of the songs. Burial was made in the Cedar City cemetery. |
