Show More Polio Cases Are Reported In Cedar City Area Polio has struck again in Ce-dar Ce-dar City within the past two weeks, as four more cases have been reported and the patients moved to Salt Lake City hospi-tals hospi-tals for treatment. This brings the total number of polio victims to eight since the middle of September. New cases reported are: Delroy Lunt, 11, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Lunt. j Ranae Condie, 11 months old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Condie. Ronnie Parry, 8, and Michael Parry, 3, sons of Mrs. Woodrow Parry. The Lunt boy was taken to the Salt Lake City General hospital last Thursday morning, with his condition tnought to be serious. His legs have been affected, but he has now been removed from the isolation ward. Mrs. Lunt has been staying in Salt Lake City with the child. Ranae Condie was taken to the LDS hospital over a week ago, with the disease affecting her left arm. She is reported to be responding to treatment and improving im-proving considerably. Her parents par-ents have been visiting her on week ends. Ronnie and Michael Parry were taken to the Salt Lake General Gen-eral hospital five days ago, but the extent of their sickness was not known when they left Cedar City. Mrs. L. F. Carlson, who entered the LDS hospital September 25 is still reported to be in a critical condition. She has been put back in the Iron Lung because the disease has affected her lungs. Trudy Knell, 6, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Knell, who entered the LDS hospital September 29, is reported to have Improved considerably. con-siderably. According to the doctors, doc-tors, she should come out with a complete recovery. Cherry Bruce, 2, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. D. Bruce, and Dia'hne Beatty, 10, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. F. Beatty, are both reported to be getting along well and Improving. The Beatty girl will probably be returned home by November 15. |
