Show Enoch and Midvalley The Chums 4-H club of Enoch will be represented at the State Fair in Salt Lake City Sept. 15 by three of its members, who were first place winners at the Iron County Fair in Parowan last week. Aurella Jones will give a demonstration on "Wool Finish", and her wool dress will be exhibited as an individual entry. Renee Jones and Clara Mae Grimshaw will enter the Style Dress Review with their wool dresses and accessories. Barbara Grimshaw placed second sec-ond at the couty fair with her dress. Alene Gibson was awarded a silver cake plate for her winning Betty Crocker Chiffon Cake. She also took first place with her sponge cake and white bread. Alene's and Renee's Record books were chosen to enter the Record Book contest at the State fair. The Happy Workers club won a blue ribbon on its demonstration, demonstra-tion, "Care and Use of The Pressure Pres-sure Cooker". The club's Food r.nd Home Furnishing exhibits won blue ribbon awards and the Home Furnishing exhibit was chosen to go to the State fair. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Stuckl, formerly for-merly of Cedar City but now living liv-ing in Kaysville, visited friends and relatives in Enoch and Mid-valley Mid-valley last Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Mathe-son Mathe-son were visitors here from Logan Lo-gan over the Labor Day week end. |
