Show Local CAP Cadets Return From Summer Encampment Nine members of the Civil Air Patrol from Cedar City returned from the Warren Air Force Base at Cheyenne, Wyoming last week, after spending a two-week summer encampment at the base with 275 cadets from five western states. The 51 cadets who attended from Utah were flown to Hill Air Force Base in army planes. While at the Wyoming field, the cadets had five-hour school sessions ses-sions daily, with instruction centering cen-tering on aviation subjects. The camp was climaxed with a dress parade of all the cadets on the final day. States represented by the cadets ca-dets included Utah, Nevada, Colorado, Col-orado, Wyoming and Oregon. Cadets attending from Cedar City were: Lt. Howard Jackson. Lt. Jeannine Thompson, M-Sgt. Janice Beatty, Sgt. Betty Jean Justet, Sgt. Kathleen Matheson, Cpl. Jerry Lee Eyman, Cpl. Francis Fran-cis Webster, Pvt. Richard Knight, and Pvt Jay Piatt. |
