Show Draft Board Inducts 2 Men; More Ordered for Exams The first call for the local draft board to actually induct men into the service was received re-ceived this week and two local men will be sworn into the service ser-vice at Fort Douglas on Sept. 22. Those being called are Clyde Tillihash and Howard Reed Mathews, both born in 1927. They recently had their pre-inductlon physical examinations at Fort Douglas and were classed 1-A.' The drafting of these two men exhausts the supply of available availa-ble men who were born in 1927. This is expected to delay the drafting of men from the local board for some time. However, the pre-lnduction examinations ex-aminations of men from the local lo-cal board continues with the calling up of additional men on Sept. 18. Those who will report re-port to Fort Douglas for exams are: Frederick Clark, Miles Urle, Murray Edwards, George K. I Slack, all of Cedar City; Raymond Ray-mond L. Davis and Boyd L. Reeves, both of Kanarraville; Gene Eyre Rollins, Tarowan, and Seymour Salmanowltz, now living liv-ing in Salt Lake City; Stanley R. Hills, now living in Seattle, and Philo Gardner Winkle, a trans-lftr trans-lftr to the Richfield draft board, j All of the above men were born in 1D2S. |
