If any article taken on approval is damaged after leaving store, or shows signs of wear, same may not be I returned but must be paid for by customer. 4. No retailer shall permit ladies formal dresses to.be taken from store on approval. i II. RETURNED GOODS AND EXCHANGES. II 1. There shall be no cash refunds on merchandise returned. 2. Except for merchandise which is damaged or imperfect, no merchandise shall be accepted for exchange or credit, a. Which has been altered for or at customers request. b. Which shows signs of wear, damage or altera tion by the customer. c. Which has been sold at a special "sale" or sold at a discount. II 3. Gifts may be exchanged only when request is received within six days after the occasion of the gift. 4. No merchandise, except gifts, may be returned for exchange or credit, unless returned within three days from purchase. III. 'LAY-AWAYS" AND "WILL CALLS". 1. A minimum down payment of $1.00 or 25 (whichever is larger) on the purchase price on articles, will be required on all merchandise "laid away" for customers. B 2. A time limit of sixty days shall be placed on any seasonable merchandise "laid away" for a customer. 3. Notice, in writing, shall be given each customer at the end, of time limit, and if merchandise is not called for at once, deposit on same shall be forfeited and article put back in stock. IB 4. No article offered on special "sale" or at a discount, mayy be "laid away", 'j IV. GIFT WRAPPING. I 1. No article of less than $3.00 value shall be specially wrapped as a gift for customers, except where the cost is no higher than regular wrappings. V. ALTERATIONS. 1.
