Show I Local Couple Married I In Salt Lake Temple I Announcement has been made of, the marriage of Miss Martha Facer J local Seminary Instructor and Mr.' i Paul Dean Proctor, associated with the U. S. Geological Survey. Mon- i day, March 5th, friends and rela-1 I tives assembled for the Salt Lake' I Temple ceremony which was per-1 formed by David O. McKay of the First Presidency. Miss Facer, who is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Facer of Bedford. Wyoming, left last Thursday Thurs-day for her home in Wyoming in I preparation or the event A number of social events were held in honor of the bride by her Wyoming friends. Tuesday night of last week the Cedar Junior High School faculty tendered the young couple a party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lorln !c. Miles. The theme of the evening even-ing was the "romance of Martha and Dean." A clever tale of grandmothers grand-mothers day' was executed with all properties, costumes and vivid actions. Miss Facer received her education educa-tion at the Brlgham Young Uni-jversity Uni-jversity and the University of Wyoming Wy-oming where she was well known in musical and recreational circles. In addition to her mission to the central States, she has spent con- Mderable time traveling to the various var-ious pf'nts of church historical Interest to augment her present calling. She has been affllllatcd with the L. D. S. Department of Education as a Seminary Instructor for the past two years. I Mr. Proctor is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Proctor of Salt Lake I City. He Is a graduate of the University Uni-versity of Utah where he was ac-I ac-I tive as a member of Lambda Delta Sigma. He completed graduate work tt Cornell University. Ithaca N. Y. where he was aflllated with Gamma Alpha and Sigma Epsllon societies. Since coming to Cedar City, Mr. Proctor has been active in several church organizations. At present ,he is a member of the Sunday School Stake Board. After the ceremony the couple, ', relatives, and close friends assembled as-sembled at the Lion House for a wedding breakfast. Following the breakfast the couple left for Texas J for a brief honeymoon. Upon their return they will make their home In Cedar City where the bride will continue with her Seminary duties and Mr. Proctor will resume ti ( field work with the Oeologlcal Survey. - iSS- |
