Show Critically Injured In Accident At Mine Clarence A. Hlnkle. foreman for the Utah Construction company at the Iron mines west of Cedar City, was critically Injured Tuesday when & cement mixer hopper loaded load-ed with gravel, fell on him. The accident resulted from the stopping of a power engine as the hopper full of gravel was being hoisted to the dump into the large mixer. When the engine stopped Mr. Hlnkle leaned over it, in an effort to start it again, and the hoper fell striking him on the back and plnnig him beneath the machine. ma-chine. He was rushed to the hospital in Cedar City where it was found he had suffered a broken back, five broken ribs, a punctured lung, and multiple cuts and bruises. Although! still in a critical condition he Is teported to be slightly Improved. |
