Show Valley Climbers Hold Banquet The Valley Climbers Neighborhood Neighbor-hood Discussion Group met at the suburban home of Ira Heaton and had a very enjoyable evening on Thursday, February 25. A chicken dinner was served to 20 members and guests, with favors and decorations decora-tions being cleverly carried out in a George Washington theme. Original Ori-ginal and interesting games based on the same theme occupied th? remainder of the evening. Mrs. Alice Heaton, Mrs. Lois Heaton, and Mrs. Vella Liston were the committee in charge of arrangements. arrange-ments. ' The Valley Climbers Neighborhood Discussion group Is an organization of neighboring farmers and their wives who organized last ear to solve problems arising from the present national emergency. Already they have accomplished considerable consider-able through cooperative efforts such as purchasing fruit trees, exchanging ex-changing labor and machinery, study of better methods of production, produc-tion, etc. But the future plans of the organization are even more extensive ex-tensive than those of the post year. Every farmer in the group is determined de-termined to increase production of food and the group Is united in efforts ef-forts to help each other reach the goals set up. Every farmer Is a member of the Iron County Farmer's Farm-er's Cooperative Association and have already marketed their hogs through this association and plan to market many more farm products pro-ducts through this association before be-fore 1943 has ended. This group is united in Its determination to produce pro-duce more than has ever been produced pro-duced before and to make certain that every ounce of food Is harvested har-vested and distributed. Mrs. Vella Liston is chairman of this active neighboring group with Mrs. Lois Heaton, Discussion Leader, Lead-er, and Mrs. Lottie Esplln, Secretary. |
