Show Former B. A. C. Student Killed In Plane Crash Ensign Veil H. Hilton, 22, former B. A. C. student from Hinckley, Utah, was killed February 24th., in a navy plane crash at Cecil Field, auxiliary naval air station, near Jacksonville, Florida. Hilton was a popular student at the Branch College in Cedar City during the 1940-41 school, and attended at-tended the U. S. A. C. at Logan after leaving the B. A. C. He enlisted en-listed in the navy on January 2, 1942, and reported for preliminary training at Oakland, Cal. He also trained at Corpus Christl, Texas, and was transferred to Florida only recently. Ensign Hilton, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Hilton of Hinckley, was born in Hinckley and spent his life there until graduating from hlg"i school after which he came to Cedar Ce-dar City to attend school. John V. Christensen and Burn Finlinson of the B. A. C. faculty, and Conrad Hatch, student body president, attended the funeral services ser-vices held Tuesday afternoon, as official representatives from the Branch College. |
