Show Bob Lunt Makes Headlines Again Bob Lunt, former Cedar High School basketball star and who is now serving in California with the U. S. Coast Guard, made the headlines head-lines in California Ullrs again this week when he piaed sensationally sensa-tionally with h.s Company team to score 33 points in one game, breaking all existing records of the league in which lie plays. One California paper reporting the game had the following to say about Bob: "Scintillating Bob Lunt practically practi-cally took over the C.ty League play Tuesday night in the civic auditorium aud-itorium when he broke all existing City League records by scoring 33 points as the Coast Guardsmen walloped the high school Cardinals Cardi-nals 73 to 35 running up the largest larg-est score of the season. "Lunt raised his season's total to 161 points, 16 more than the old City League record held by Bill Foote of the White's Cardinals at 145 points. Hint's 35 points in one night, broke the 27-polnt mark set by Max Dowden in 1835 for the Df Molays. "Lunt scored 20 points in the first half, then came back with 13 more in the second half, to set an astounding mark." |
