Show Important Changes I Made In Issuance Of Ration Books Important changes will be made in the Issuance of all new ration book?. Including replacements of lost, mutilated or stolen books and furlough rations, beginning Janu- ' ary 2, Thomas Cardon chairman of the Cedar City O P A Price Control Board, announoed today. ' "Starting January 2. Just the food application blanks will be handled by the local boards and not the books." Mr. Cardon said. "The applicants ap-plicants may secure the application forms by either writing or calling at their board or the O P A District Office. Atlas Building, Salt Lake City. Utah. These forms must be filled out and mailed to the Price Division at the OP A District Office and the new books will be mahed from there to the applicant. The price control boards formerly known as the war jlriae and rationing boards, will no longer Issue any new ration books." Mr. Cardon stated that the change was made to conform with other post war changes made by the agency, and to enable the board members to devote more time to price control activities. Application blanks may be obtained ob-tained by mail or personal call from the District Office or tte folowing boards: Brlgham City. Cedar City, Logan, Ephralm, Ogden Price, Ptovo, Richfield. Salt Lake City, Vernal. The change does not In any way effect tftose persons already in possession of ration book four. Consumers will continue to use stamps In book four In the order vali )vted' for rationing of sugar. The Chairman emphaslzcf again that the price control boards will no longer Issue ration books. |
