Show Chamber of Commerce To Hold Annual Banquet and Dance on New Years Eve Members of the Chamber of Commerce will celebrate the coming com-ing of the New Year at the annual banquet and dance to be held at the Escalante hotel New Year's Eve. Plans for the gala affair have been completed by a committee headed by Kumen L. Jones and Thcron Ashcroft, members of the board of directors. A Turkey dinner will be served at the banquet which la scheduled to start promptly at 7:30 p. m. Excellent Ex-cellent dinner music will be pro-! vlded together with a short, ap-j propriate program. H. M. Endsley, president of the Chamber of Commerce, Com-merce, will preside with Twain Tip-petts Tip-petts of the Branch Agricultural College speech department acting as master of ceremonies. Following the banquet the dance will be held in the hotel ball room, with all the noise makers, confetti, confet-ti, caps, etc. and punch bowl that goes with a New Year's eve celebration cele-bration provided by the committee. A feature of the big event will be the announcement of the new officers of the Chamber of Commerce Com-merce for the coming year. The e-lection e-lection is being conducted by mall with each members receiving a bal lot with instructions to return it by December 28th. Announcement of the results will be made at the dance. Nominations for the election includes in-cludes the following: President: John Beal and Warren Bulloch. Vice President: C. J. Beasley and and E. W. Macfarlane. Two-year term Director: (2 to be elected), Joe Fakler, Orvllle Isom, Wilson Lunt and Graham MacDon-ald MacDon-ald One-year term Director: Wm. Jones and Francis Mlddleton. |
