Show Funeral Held Monday For Prominent New Harmony Woman Funeral services were held Monday Mon-day afternoon in the New Harmony ward chapel for Mrs. Sarah Redd Prince Davis, wife of Reese Davis. "Aunt Sarah", as she was widely known died Saturday of ailments incident to age. Active in church work she had been president of the Ward Relief Society for 25 years and had served serv-ed in other organizations. Until recent re-cent years she had attended the sick of the community. She is survived by her husband three sons, James L. Prince, New Harmony; George L. Prince, Salt Lake City; An tone B. Prince, St. George; three daughters, Mrs. Jua-nita Jua-nita D. Williams, Henderson, Nevada; Ne-vada; Mrs. Fern D. Williams, To-quervllle; To-quervllle; and Mrs. VUo D. Pearce, New Harmony. Her former husband hus-band James F. Prince and a daughter daugh-ter Mrs. Clara Prince Williams preceded pre-ceded her in death. Surviving also are 35 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted by Bishop Marlon F. Prince. Speakers Speak-ers were Henry A. Pace and Albert F. Mathls of New Harmony, Ambrose Am-brose Sohmutz, St. George and Barbara Bar-bara Adams of Parowan. Mrs. Al-ta Al-ta Whipple of Logandale, Nevada, read an original poem written by Mrs. Emma Thompson Whipple, also al-so ol Logandale. The mutiofcl program Included two duets by Myles Walker and Ray Cosslett, a vocal solo by Myles Walker accompanied by Mrs. Lor-na Lor-na A. Prince, a duet by Wllma Pace and Marlon Prince, accompanied by Carolyn Pace. Invocation was by Orson Ham-mand, Ham-mand, benediction by John Prince of Price, Utah and dedication of the grave by Bryant Jolly. |
