During the winter beef steers should be kept In a dry lot and provided with a windbreak from the north or given free access to an open shed. In some sections of the South weather conditions condi-tions alone may not Justify open sheds, but when the saving of feed und manure ma-nure and the .protection of pusturea from tramping in wet weather are considered con-sidered such sheds will prove to bo profitable investments. Breeding animals ani-mals may require even more protection during severe weuther thun an open abed would provide. |
