Show COURT GIVES JUDGMENT " FOR $SSO,QOOaN,SUlT' - - ' ' "I Word was received from St. I Louis Saturday afternoon that the United State circuit court of appeal had handed down a decision in the case of the Silver Kifng Consolidated vs. the Silver King Coalition Mines company, by which the finding of the lower court was sustained by the decision de-cision of the United States circuit cir-cuit court of Salt Lake City handed down on April 17, 1911, the plabitff was given judgment judg-ment of $516,264.47, with interest inter-est at 8 per cent per annum from January 1, 1906. The court at' St. Louis increased increas-ed this judgment by approximately approxi-mately $23,000, taking the figures the engineers of the plaintiff has against those of the defendant in the matter of foot: age in the stopefrom which the ore is alleged to have been ex tracted. Vice President and General Manager Thomas JCearns of the Coalition company, was seen by The Tribune Saturday night, and when asked regarding the St. Louis decision he stated that no official action by the defendant company could be taken until the full decree could arrive from St. Louis, but he stated that the finding was linjust and would be carried to the United States supreme court Salt Lake Tribune. ...- i ' -1 |
