Show According to statements given out by President Presi-dent Wilson, the selection of ambassadors to the foreign countries will be left fo William J, Bryan, Secretary of State. It is asid that never before in history has the president divested himself of the privilege of appointing men of his choice to these important offices, and many politicians in Washington are beginning to believe that the president's attitude is but an act, of gratitude to Mr. Bryan for the fight he made for him at the Baltimore convention, which resulted in his nomi-nation nomi-nation and election. With this great power in his hands, and many of his most fntimate political friends in the cabinet, Mr..Bryanwill be in a position posi-tion to build up a strong political organization by 1916, which would place the nomination- for president easily within his reach. |
