Show 1 Social and Personal. j Mr, and Mrs. J. P. Kelly entertained a few from 8 p. m. to 10 p. m. on the 14th inst. in honor of their daughter Lulu's fifteenth birthday. The time was pleasantly passed in vocal and instrumental in-strumental music. Before taking leave the guests partook of light, refreshments refresh-ments which were daintily served. Miss Lulu was the guest of honor. The grand ball given in Maple hall by the Ladies' Auxiliary on the 12th inst. was a great success. The crowd was just large enough for comfort and enjoyment. The ladies netted quite a little sum for their treasury. " . : The A. O. H. gave a "smoker" last Wednesday evening at Society hall, which proved to be a real treatv A musical and literary programme was prepared for the occasion and immensely im-mensely enjoyed. Appropriate refreshments refresh-ments were served and a real good time was had by all members present. Thanks are. extended to the committee commit-tee who made the event such a social success.- Rev. Father Galligan went to Salt Lake Monday afternoon and returned home that night through the canyon, to attend to the spiritual wants of Mr. Gillis, who died Tuesday morning at 7 o'clock. Harrington went to Salt Lake Tuesday to attend the Kearns reception, : Mr. Patrice Devlin ig confined to his bed with the "grip" at the home of Mrs. M. McPolin. The personal friends of Rev. Father Murphy, vice president of All Hallows, residing here in Park City are delighted delight-ed to know that he has entirely recovered recov-ered from his long siege of typhoid fever and will soon be able to leave the hospital and resume his duties at the college. |
