Show CHRISTMAS PLAY. All Hallows College Students Present a Five-Act Drama. All Hallows college chapeV was well filled last evening, on the occasion of the presentation of the Christmas play by the students. The-five-act drama, "Louis IX, King of France," was well given and appreciated by the audience. The cast of characters was as follows:' Louis IX. king of France, J. Dillon; Prince Philip, Ms son. L. Earles; Al-moadam, Al-moadam, sultan of Egypt, M-, Curran; Octai. commander of the Mamelukes, F. Gallagher: Osman, a prince of the old royal family of Egypt, H. Burnett: i Adhoubar, an apostate Christian, J. J Galligan; Almanzor. the apostate's brother, J. Schmidt; sultan's guards, E. Egan..J, Griffin, E. Hamilton, L. Moran, L. McNamee, C. Denhalter; I mamelukes, E. Denhalter, D. Evans. C. McEvoy, A. Calverly, C. Morse, J. H. Dickey. . The excellent orchestra, under Professor Pro-fessor Anton Pedersen, furnished music, mu-sic, and between the acts N. Hogan gave a cornet solo: F. Cashfh, a violin solo: J. Galligan and A. Trapp "Les Gendarmes a Pieds." |
