Mrs. J. C. Leary returned to Salt Lake from Kansas City Monday, accompanied ac-companied by her " daughter, Loreen. who has come from school to spend the holidays. The family of General Superintendent A. E. Welby of the Rio Grande Western West-ern arrived from California Saturday in the car Wasatch. Mr. and Mrs. Welby Wel-by will shortly be at home in the Egan house on Sixth East street. f Samuel H. Auerbach and wife celebrated cele-brated their silver" wadding on Friday last in New York City, where they are stopping at present with their family. Many Salt Lake friends have kept the wires hot in extending hearty con gratulations and to wish that they may live to enjoy their golden wedding. Senator Kearns left Washington Sunday evening to spend the holidays with his family in the city. 1 ' The infant child recently adopted by Mr. and Mrs. Henry Johnstone, died on Sunday night. Mr. and Mrs. Johnstone John-stone are greatly grieved over the little lit-tle one's death. During its short stay on earth all that loving care could devise de-vise was done by the kind hearted foster parents. 4 ' Miss Mamie Falloon and Miss Katherine Cunningham will spend the holidays in Park City with their parents. par-ents.
