Show Freedom of Cork Fpr Rossa, At a special meeting of the Cork cor-roration cor-roration on.Thuisday Mr. R. Crontn Proposed, and Alderman Kelliher seconded sec-onded "that the freedom of the city be conferred on Mr. Jeremiah O'Donovan Kossa." The lord mayor, in putting the resolution, res-olution, said he had not identified him self with any physical force movement, l-ut they, could believe him when he said he had the highest regard, and he would go further and say affection, for the men who, in dangerous and trouble- i some times, took their part for their country men who, not alone braved the scaffold, but the horrors of penal servitude (hear, hear). In the case of O'Donovan Rossa, it was a pure, sincere sin-cere and deep love of country that made him take the part he did. even to the risk of his life and his liberty (hear, hear), and he trusted they would do something in a practical manner for O'Donovan Rosa (hear, heir). He v .as not, as they were all aware, a J v.c-althy man, but perhaps that was the, best test of. his patriotism, and he (the lord mayor) sincerely trusted they ; would have him again with them and j Cve him a further proof of their es- teem and regard. !
