Show ; ASSOCIATED CHARITIES. The Associated Charities held its an- i nual election of officers Jan. 4, when all tho old officers who placed the as- socia.tion on its feet and made it one of the most important institutions of i ihe city, retired from active work and ' nw officers went into the direction of ' affairs. The old officers dX'ided some time go to retire, for they had earned a rest, and it was quite well known that they would not serve another term, but the other ladies of the association tendered them a graceful compliment j by re-electing them. The honor was i de.olinexl, and the new officers were j then chosen. The new officers are-: President, Mrs. A. S. Christie; first vice presi-j presi-j dent, Mrs. J. S. Hammond; second vice j president. Mrs. L. A. Sisley: secretary, .. Mrs. W. W. Cheeley; treasurer, Mrs. A. H. Wethey. Mis. Wethey was the I only one of the old officers who could le prevailed upon to serve another . term. i There were two trustees for the Paul f Clark home to be elected at this time also. Mrs. A. S. Christie was chosen f to succeed Mrs. J. I. Broughton and ? Mns Kuth Burton was re-elected, j Considerable business of a routine s nature was transacte-d at the meeting. i |
