Show GOLDEN JUBILEE. , Rev. L. B. Palladino, S. J., one of the pioneer priests of Montana, will celebrate his golden jubilee jubi-lee on the KUh inst. The venerable missionary has been a prominent and zealous worker in the cause of Catholicity since his arrival in Helena in 1S73. He has been not only on indefatigable worker in erecting schools, churches and hospitals, but he has distinguished himself as an able and scholarly writer. His history of the northwest is most interesting in-teresting and valuable for its accurate description of the Indian character. A work entitled "Many Blossoms" is rich in thought anel full of the beautiful beau-tiful and sublime teachings of the Bible. We speak for the worthy priest not only the congratulations and good wishes of his parishioners iu Missoula, but thoso of all Montana, who have for thirty-two years witnessed his worth in the many monuments of religion erected by him wherever duty called, him to labor. May his years be prolonged and his good works fruitify for many years yet to come. |
