Show ST. LAWRENCE'S, WALKERVILLE (Correspondence Intermountain Catholic.) St. Lawrence's, Walkerville, honored the Savior's anniversary with solemn services at midnight and Christmas eve. Owing to the illness of Father Batens, the whole burden of responsibility responsi-bility fell upon the shoulders of the newly ordained assistant; Father Cassidy, Cas-sidy, who, under trying circumstances, acquitted himself in very creditable manner. Rev. Father Biaere of St. Patrick's celebrated the midnight mass, and Father Cassidy offered the holy sacrifice at 9 and 10:30 a. m., preaching at the - latter himself. . 'The reverend gentleman dwelt upon the importance and meaning of the penitential season just passed and exhorted his hearers to make a practical application In their daily lives of the lessons to be learned from this holy season.
