Show I 0GDEN, UTAH. j (Special Correspondence.) School interests predominate these days, and the question of a new High school continues to be a subject of animated discussion. The board of education is asked to consider the matter of erecting another building in the northeastern part of the city for the convenience of people living east of Madison avenue and north of Twenty-third street. The city schools closed Friday, the cele- hration havinc rnntimiprl rtiirlnir thp nast week, and consisting of a baccalaureate sermon and services last Sunday evening, a grand ball Tuesday and presentation of diplomas on the evening of the 29th. Browning Bros, are to begin immediately immediate-ly the construction of a new garage on Grant avenue. The location was selected and the land purchased some time ago. Not only does the company -intend to carry a variety of automobiles, but a full line of extras. The building is to be divided into three departments, sales, livery liv-ery and repairing. A very interesting program was that rendered last Monday evening at the First Presbyterian church.' Some of ' the best musical talent in tlie city contributed to the success of the concert, which was given for the benefit of the Young People's Peo-ple's society of Christian Endeavor. Father Barret of Rock Springs spent a day in Ogden recently, visiting with Father Cushnahan at St. Joseph s rectory. |
