Show I EUREKA, UTAH. John H. McChrystal was in town on Tuesday and Wednesday of last week for the purpose of visiting friends, and at the same time looking after his mining min-ing and business interests. He has returned re-turned to the capital again, and expects to join his family at Ocean Park, Cal., early next week. J. C. Sullivan, manager of the Raymond-Illinois mining company, returned re-turned last week from a brief visit in Salt Lake City. S. E. Whitely and Mrs. Elizabeth Nelson, Nel-son, daughter of Mrs. Margaret Shee-han, Shee-han, were united in the holy bonds of matrimony on Thursday, May 21. at the residence of Rev. P. J. O'Donohue, in the presence of a few friends. Hugh Heffernan acted, as groomsman, and Mrs. J. C. Sullivan attended the bride. There were present Mrs. Margaret Sheehan, Miss Josie Kelly, Miss Nellie Sullivan, Messrs. Al Nelson and D. C. Harrington. Mr. Whitely was formerly local manager for the Bell Telephone company in Eureka. He is at present manager for the Park City branch of the same company, and the bride is one of Eureka's most popular young matrons. mat-rons. Miss Maggie Bonner, who went to Oakland about three weeks ago. will remain until the last of the month the guest of Mrs. Porter, formerly Miss Kate Marshal of this city. Mrs. William Dennis of this city was operated upon at the Holy Cross hospital hos-pital at the capital last Tuesday, the operation being performed by Drs. Hen-sel Hen-sel and Root. The operation was a very serious one, but. the many friends of Mrs. Dennis will be pleased to hear that she is recovering quite rapidly. |
