Show Church Notes. News reached Denver during the week of the safe arrival at Vancouver, B. C. of Father P. A. Phillips, chancellor chan-cellor of the diocese of Denver. Rev. M. W. Donovan of Ouray, who has been at Colorado Springs for -i visit, vis-it, came to Denver to officiate at Lo-retto Lo-retto Heights academy and Fort Logan while Father Richard Brady, the regular regu-lar chaplain at both these stations, went to Santa Fe to attend the funeral of Archbishop Bourgade. On Sunday, June 14, the mission sermon ser-mon will be preached at high mass and the solemn closing of the mission will be at 7:30 o'clock in the evening, when the papal blessing will be bestowed upon those who have made the mission. mis-sion. i The amount of the Easter collection at the pro-cathedral exceeds the collections collec-tions of former years, and is decidedly encouraging. The printed lists distributed distrib-uted last Sunday at all the masses show j th'e total to be $1,277.10. An effort to have every family in the cathedral congregation a pewholder is being made by the priests in charge st the work In that parish. Last week thirty new names were added to the list. There are still desirable pews and single seats. |
